On April 2nd, Greeley West High School was recognized as an AVID National Demonstration School, and Shawsheen Elementary, an AVID Showcase School, gave instructors from throughout Colorado a tour of AVID in action.

AVID National Demonstration Schools are exemplary models of the AVID College Readiness System. These schools showcase best, wide-spread instructional practices in WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, Reading).
Greeley West, along with Shawsheen Elementary, will serve as an AVID showcase model for educators from other schools to visit, observe, and learn from.
