Emergency Procedures

Fire Drills

  • Minium of 10 fire drills each school year.
  • Used to practice the orderly and safe evacuation of the building.
  • Students and staff are to proceed to the nearest exit, leave the building, and go at least 100 feet from the building at the sound of the fire alarm.

Lockdown Drill, Lockout Drills, Weather Drills

  • The school will also conduct a lockdown drill, a lockout drill, and a weather drill during the course of the school year.

Packets for emergency procedures should be posted by each classroom door at the beginning of the school year. If your packet is missing, please contact the Office Manager.

The Standard Response Protocol

During an emergency, shared vocabulary for students, staff and first responders is essential. That is why we use the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) developed by the "I Love U Guys" Foundation.
