As a reminder: Rising sophomores (current 9th graders), you will register fro 16/16 units.
Rising juniors & seniors (current 10th & 11th graders), will also register for 16/16 units, to include AIMS & OFF BLOCKS.
You may have no more than two off blocks each term.
Utilize the worksheet you've fill out with your teachers to make sure you register for the correct classes.
Register for your core classes for next year. Click "Add Course" in the bottom lefthand corner.
Search for available courses by name or number, or by simply scrolling through the long list of classes below the Add Course box.
If you would like to read the course description for a class, check grade levels or prerequisites, you can click anywhere on the line. From there you can request the course or hit back to return to the full list.
A text box will ask you if you would like to request this course as a request or an alternate. Click "Request" and wait for the green confirmation box to appear in the upper righthand corner.
As you return to the full list of classes, you will see your completion percentage increase, the number of units you have requested increase, and you will see REQ next to the class you have requested.
Keep repeating this process until you have requested the minimum number of classes. Once you have done this, you will show 100% completion.
You may now add alternate courses. The process to request alternate courses is the same, except you will click "Alternate" instead of "Request."
Choose at least 6 alternate classes so that we can schedule you into something you are interested in, if you do not get your first choices.
When you are done, you can click the back button to see a summary of your requests. You should have 16/16 units (100% complete) and at least 6 alternate units.
Semester vs. Year-Long Courses
Semester long classes will only account for 1 unit when you register for them.
Year long classes will account for 2 units when you register for them.
Most English, Math, Science, and social studies are year long classes; however, many are only 1 semester. The number of Units is indicated on your registration forma s well.
When you add courses, you'll see your total units increase.
