From the Principal
 My Fellow Spartans,
I want to confirm one of the "biggest elephants in the room" that has many people talking.
I have been offered and accepted the principalship at Valley High School in Gilcrest for the 2008-09 school year and beyond. After 25 years at GWHS, I will be resigning effective June 30, 2008.
Know that my leaving has nothing to do with students, staff or parents in the GWHS community. I am looking forward to working with the smaller school and community as I like to get to know staff and students by name and build relationships. No one has "run me out"; no, I did not get fired and I am leaving the district in good standing. I am not closing the door to ever returning. I will always have some Spartan blood in my veins and the work we've begun has never been about me but what is best the students of GWHS and their futures. I will continue to serve them to the best of my abilities.
I have used the slogan "by the shield or on it" for several years; I believe I have lived it as well. It has been a great honor to work with the students, staff and parents in my tenure at Greeley West. I wish all of you nothing but the best.
I will always care deeply about GWHS and my Spartan family. I am still your biggest supporter, but come July, "GO VIKINGS."
