Brentwood Middle School additional dress code:
Students are expected to use good judgment when dressing for school. They should wear warm clothing on cold days because they will go outside after lunch. They must wear shoes at all times. Students may wear hats outside in an appropriate manner, but they must remove them when entering the building.
Clothing and personal items with pictures, messages, or symbols worn to school and/or school-sponsored events should be in good taste and meet district dress code policies
Apparel that promotes or supports alcohol, drugs, tobacco, gangs (including, but not limited to hats, caps, belts, and bandanas), profanity, sexual conduct, and violence is not considered in good taste.
Appropriate clothing is defined as the following:
Shirts with straps at least one-inch wide;
Sports bras and boxer shorts and all underclothing completely covered by outer wear;
See-through, muscle, and mesh shirts with a tank top/tee shirt under or over them;
Skirts/shorts at fingertip length;
Shirts that cover midriff skin when hands are raised above heads;
Jeans, trousers, and shorts worn at the hip bone (jeans and trousers should not drag on the ground when students walk);
Clothing not designated as sleepwear. No “bedroom” slippers or similar footwear
Students shall be bound by all safety regulations regarding dress in all shop, laboratory, and physical education areas.
Unnatural hair color in red or blue are not permitted.
