Welcome to John Evans Middle School

John Evans dragon An International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme
Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible

Residents of Greeley-Evans School District 6 are invited to view the preliminary design plans for the new middle school at a public open house from 5-7 p.m. June 25 at John Evans Middle School, 2900 15th Avenue.

In November, District 6 voters approved an $8.2 million bond issue, which will be used as the local match for a Building Excellent Schools Today grant from the state of Colorado, totaling approximately $21 million. The money will be used to construct a new middle school at the intersection of 37th Street and 65th Avenue. The new school is slated to open in the fall of 2015.

The New Middle School Design Advisory Group, with more than 30 members from the community, has been meeting for months to work with SlaterPaull/RB&B Architects, LLC, to develop a floor plan, site plan and exterior design plan for the new school. The preliminary schematic design will be on display at the open house, and officials will be available to answer questions and take comments about the design.

Anyone interested in the new middle school is invited to attend anytime between 5-7 p.m. Public comments will be considered before the design moves forward for final approval.
